This handmade cello, or violonchelo, was hand built in 2020 by Norberto Novik in Tumbaco, Ecuador where he lives and works. It and can be used as a baroque or modern cello.

How much does a custom cello cost?
As with all objects, quality comes at a cost. A student cello costs between $1,200-$2,500 and as the musician hones their practice, they will require better tonal quality in their instrument, paying thousands of dollars more, depending on the craftmanship and materials used to build the cello. This is a cello for the advanced musician or one for a promising student.
